Attorney Relationship Disclosure
Effective Date: January 20th, 2026
Chicago Legacy Group LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, doing business as Chicagoland Trust (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides educational resources, process guidance, and coordination support related to trust and estate planning.
This Attorney Relationship Disclosure is intended to clarify the nature of our relationship with licensed attorneys and your relationship with them.
1. We Are Not a Law Firm
Chicagoland Trust is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation.
Nothing on our website, within our educational materials, or through our services should be construed as legal advice.
---
2. No Attorney-Client Relationship With Us
Your use of our services does not create:
-
An attorney-client relationship with Chicagoland Trust
-
A fiduciary relationship
-
A legal advisory relationship
Only a licensed attorney can form an attorney-client relationship with you, and only through a separate engagement.
---
3. Independent Attorneys
From time to time, we may:
-
Refer you to independent, licensed attorneys
-
Facilitate introductions to attorneys
-
Coordinate communication as part of a broader planning process
Any attorney you engage:
-
Is independent from Chicagoland Trust
-
Operates under their own professional obligations
-
Sets their own fees, terms, and scope of representation
We do not control, direct, or supervise the legal services provided by any attorney.
---
4. Separate Legal Engagement Required
If you choose to work with an attorney:
-
You will enter into a separate agreement directly with that attorney
-
That agreement governs the attorney-client relationship
-
All legal advice, document preparation, and filings are the responsibility of the attorney
Chicagoland Trust is not a party to that legal engagement.
---
5. No Legal Guarantees
We do not guarantee:
-
The legal sufficiency of any documents
-
That a trust or estate plan will meet your specific legal objectives
-
That any particular legal outcome will be achieved
Estate planning outcomes depend on many factors, including individual circumstances, asset structures, and applicable laws.
---
6. Coordination Role Only
Our role, when applicable, is limited to:
-
Education and explanation of general concepts
-
Process guidance and planning support
-
Coordination reminders related to execution steps (such as trust funding)
We do not draft legal documents, interpret laws, or provide asset-specific legal instructions.
---
7. Your Responsibility
You are responsible for:
-
Selecting and engaging a licensed attorney
-
Reviewing all legal documents with that attorney
-
Making final decisions regarding your estate plan
We encourage all clients to ask questions and seek clarification directly from their attorney.
---
